IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATES

March 17, 2020

Dear BodyBusiness members and community,

To say it’s been a rough week is an understatement. And it’s only Tuesday.

We’ve done everything we can to make sure that your health and safety are our top priority while keeping BodyBusiness doors open. It’s come to a point that doing both of those things is no longer possible.

Our attention has been focused on CDC guidelines designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and we have decided that closing the gym is the best decision for everyone.

As of tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 BodyBusiness will be closed until further notice. All appointments have been cancelled.

The gym will also close early this evening Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.

Most of you know that a healthy immune system is supported by a healthy lifestyle. We encourage you to reach out to your personal trainers to talk about virtual training options, stay active with walks, at home workouts and meditation. Practice self care and turn off the news on a regular basis. It’s so important to make your health a priority, now more than ever.

Lastly, stay in touch! Post on our Facebook page what you are doing to stay active. Post pics of healthy meals you are cooking in your kitchen, or just post positive thoughts! We can still remain a tight knit community when we are forced apart. It’s what makes BodyBusiness special.

Be kind and take care,
Jessica Evans

Membership Questions

Why you should I keep my active membership?
The BodyBusiness fitness staff is working hard to create valuable online and virtual content designed to support your health and wellness as our lives adjust to the current, and hopefully short-lived, normal. BodyBusiness is successful because of the strong bond between our members and our staff. We are small and local and we care. We have been around for 35 years and we hope to be around for 35 more. To see that through, we hope that you will keep your membership active if you are able. We are working tirelessly to make sure that it is worth it for you and we are grateful to every member who considers doing so.

Can I freeze my membership?
If you need to freeze your membership, we understand. As a small business with one local location, we are hoping to continue to pay our employees, staff and trainers through each change that comes along. We ask that you consider keeping your membership active to make that happen. If that is not a possibility, freeze requests should be emailed to info@bodybusiness.com.

What do I do if I need to cancel my membership?
If you feel you need to cancel your membership, please email us at info@bodybusiness.com and we will process your request with no cancellation fee. We encourage all members to freeze if you plan on returning to the gym, though, to avoid enrollment fees upon returning.

March 16, 2020

With the COVID-19 situation evolving by the minute, our main priority is to keep you informed. Your health and wellness remain the focus of every decision we make over the coming weeks and changes are only being made after careful consideration of the impact on everyone involved.

We are changing our business hours.
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020 gym business hours will change to 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

We are cancelling large group exercise classes.
Beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 all classes held in the Group Ex Room (Big Room) will be cancelled. Because these are our largest format classes, we feel it is our responsibility to cut back on large groups congregating in small spaces.

What about Small Group Classes and Personal Training?
Small group classes will remain on the schedule. Your trainer will contact you if there are any changes including group training scheduled for times outside of new business hours.

Personal trainers will contact clients directly with any changes.

I can not express in words how grateful I am for every person that is part of the BodyBusiness family. There are a lot of challenges that I expected to come along with owning a fitness club, but I can assure you that this is not one of them. For 35 years, BodyBusiness members have made this community into something really special. Something that I feel so blessed to be a part of. I’m confident that we will get through this together, I’m hopeful that we will continue to be a part of your fitness journey, and I am thankful for each and every one of you.
